U12 ÖM‑Qualifier: Two games, two completely different stories – and one team that keeps growing.

Our U12 team experienced a qualifier weekend that could hardly have been more contrasting. In the first game, we never found our usual rhythm, slept through the opening phase, and ultimately had to accept a clear and deserved loss. A setback – but also a wake‑up call.

Just one day later, the team showed how quickly young players can react and learn. Stronger, more focused, and with a clear game plan, we entered the second matchup. Thanks to strong pitching, excellent hitting, and disciplined base running, we held the lead for a long time and controlled the game for large stretches.

In the scorching heat, however, a single weak inning cost us our momentum. A brief lapse in concentration was enough for the lead to slip away. In the end, a walk‑off run decided the game, handing us a narrow defeat in the second matchup as well.

Still, one thing remains certain: this team has character, potential, and the ability to improve massively within just one day. The development is on track, the energy is there – and the next steps will follow.
