BeaverStars children's summer with everything: defeat, draw and victory

Loss to the Ducks
On 25.6. met early at Ducksfield in Wr. Neustadt, and at the beginning of the game both teams didn't really get into the game. But then the Ducks got three runs in the first inning. In the 2nd inning, pitcher Simon L. stood securely on the mound, didn't allow the opponent any more runs and the team made all the ducks - unfortunately their own runs didn't work out either. Once again it was shown that the children's defense can play together well and attentively. Accuracy and vision in attack remain at the top of the list for summer training.

The coach pitching in the 3rd inning went surprisingly well for us at first, as the Ducks pitcher reliably outed his own players. Then the opponents took advantage of a few skillful plays that saw the BeaverStars lose control, and the first match ended 7-1 in the 6th inning.

In the 2nd match, after a good start (2:0), the biggest deficit of the doubles team, which almost exclusively comes together on the matchdays, showed up in the 2nd inning, after all, it has already found a remarkable quality as a team: Defense good, offense not quite so. In the 4th inning, the Ducks managed 2 flyouts and won again.

Home win against Bluebats
The home game against the Bluebats on June 11, where our children won both matches (17:9 and 6:3), showed that things can also go differently. Such a double victory was due again and very important for the common motivation - and it was great fun for everyone.

Draw away
On 1.7. went abroad to Schwechat. Almost traditionally, it first took a wake-up phase including a 0:5 deficit in the 1st inning, then the children were fully there, paid close attention and made 5 runs themselves. After that, security dwindled again, especially with groundballs, and the bats were able to bring home 5 runs again in the 4th inning, final score in the 6th inning 11:14. Game 2 again showed a lot of good, including a home run from Simon L. and a winning 14-7.

The BeaverStars now play much more confidently than at the beginning, and they can get through a double header together, attentive and motivated. It's more the "simple" things and standards that will continue to be practiced until the championship in October. For some even at the summer camp, which will start soon.
